چکیده

For real-time precise orbit determination (POD) of low earth (LEO) satellites, high-accuracy global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and clock products are necessary in real time. Recently, the Japanese multi-GNSS advanced demonstration analysis point positioning (PPP) service new generation Australian/New Zealand satellite-based augmentation (SBAS)-aided PPP provide free GNSS that directly broadcast through geostationary respectively. With high quality both shown this study, a 3D accuracy centimeters can be achieved post-processing mode for reduced-dynamic orbits small LEO satellites having duty cycle down to 40% at sub-dm dm level kinematic orbits. The results show promising future POD onboard benefiting from free-of-charge corrections by systems or SBAS.

Real-Time Single Frequency Precise Point Positioning Using SBAS Corrections

Real-time single frequency precise point positioning (PPP) is a promising technique for high-precision navigation with sub-meter or even centimeter-level accuracy because of its convenience and low cost. The navigation performance of single frequency PPP heavily depends on the real-time availability and quality of correction products for satellite orbits and satellite clocks. Satellite-based au...

TIME OPTIMAL SLEW MANEUVER OF MAGNETICALLY ACTUATED LEO SATELLITES

Conventional magnetic attitude control methodologies require several orbital periods to accomplish the required attitude maneuvers due to the existence of an uncontrollable axis, namely the local Earth’s magnetic field vector. Since in some attitude maneuver missions the elapsed time is of critical importance, those time-consuming controllers are not satisfactory and we need a much faster contr...

Precise Real-Time Navigation of LEO Satellites Using a Single-Frequency GPS Receiver and Ultra-Rapid Ephemerides

Precise (sub-meter level) real-time navigation using a space-capable single-frequency global positioning system (GPS) receiver and ultra-rapid (real-time) ephemerides from the international global navigation satellite systems service is proposed for low-Earth-orbiting (LEO) satellites. The C/A code and L1 carrier phase measurements are combined and single-differenced to eliminate first-order io...

Near-real time cloud properties and aircraft icing indices from GEO and LEO satellites

Imagers on many of the current and future operational meteorological satellites in geostationary Earth orbit (GEO) and lower Earth orbit (LEO) have enough spectral channels to derive cloud microphysical properties useful for a variety of applications. The products include cloud amount, phase, optical depth, temperature, height and pressure, thickness, effective particle size, and ice or liquid ...

RSVP for LEO satellites

The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) is working on extending the traditional TCP/IP model for supporting multimedia and real-time applications on the Internet. Thus, new protocols have been developed such as the Resource Reservation Protocol (RSVP). At the same time, there has been a growing interest in using Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites. In the near future, when the Internet with mul...
